A Nanotechnologist wins the Young Leaders Award 2022

Young Professionals Society recognises and honours outstanding young professionals who have demonstrated in their professional careers (i) excellence, (ii) leadership and (iii) outstanding achievements.

The Young Leaders Award uses the following criteria to select the winning candidate:

  • Achievements
  • Impact
  • Sustainability

We received some outstanding candidates for this year’s award and the YPS Awards Committee had an extremely difficult task is selecting the winner.

After extended discussions and difficult decisions, YPS is pleased to announce the winner of the Young Leaders Award 2022 to be Dr Tanveer A. Tabish from the University of Oxford (UK).

Dr Tabish is currently working as the BHF Advanced Research Fellow/Principal Investigator in Nanomedicine at the Radcliffe Department of Medicine, Cardiovascular Division/Department of Materials, University of Oxford (UK).

Dr Tabish has previously held research positions at the University College London and Imperial College London. He has made scientific breakthroughs and significant contributions to the development of graphene-based anti-cancer nanomedicine, and he has extensive experience in pre-clinical translation of novel nanomaterials for cancer therapeutic and diagnostic purposes.

Dr Tabish has published over 54 research papers in high impact-factor peer reviewed scientific journals (up to IF>31) and has secured over three quarter of a million pounds in research funding to support his cutting edge and novel work.

We would like to congratulate Dr Tanveer Tabish on winning the Young Leaders Award 2022.
